With splendour and glory. From J. I. Kraszewski's Saxony trilogy to film history
Opening of the special exhibition
Forty years ago, J. I. Kraszewski's Saxony trilogy was made into a film. Saxony's Splendour and Prussia's Glory" was the largest film production of the GDR - a work that impressively intertwined history, politics and personal destinies. The exhibition sheds light on the background to this lavish film adaptation and invites visitors to take a closer look at Kraszewski's literary works.
